Louisa Taylor

Ceramic Arts London - Louisa Taylor -

Louisa’s new collection of work explores the role of tableware in contemporary dining. The forms are heavily influenced by 18th century dining vessels. The subtle colour palette derives from the hand painted decoration on these vessels, the pattern is deconstructed and each colour is individually matched with glaze.

Louisa is the author of the book “Ceramics; Tools and Techniques for the Contemporary Maker” (Jacqui Small publishing, 2011). From January – July 2012, Louisa will be the Artist in Residence in the Ceramics Department at the Victoria and Albert Museum London.
