Hans Borgonjon

'The search to reflect contrasting states of human strength and fragility, simplicity and complexity and a sense of familiarity and alienation is perceptible in his small handheld transparent cups to large porcelain wall pieces, intricately woven clay vessels and conceptual ceramic structures.
Working from his studio in Somerset Hans makes work playing with light and shadow sometimes accentuated with gold and platinum. His objects marry clashing techniques seamlessly. And he knits contrasting clays into deceptively simple forms.
He was rewarded the Crafts Council Development Award in 2008 and has been exhibiting in Britain, The Netherlands and Belgium.'
