Hennie Meyer

Hennie Meyer is an acclaimed South African ceramist. He works in earthenware, and enjoys the challenge of making composite shapes, creating a balance to form aesthetically pleasing vessels that combine humour and a recognizable signature style.

He studied ceramics in Australia and in South Africa. He exhibits extensively, both locally and overseas. His work has been included in several South African national as well as international collections.

In 2009 he was selected to exhibit at the Fifth World Ceramic Biennale in Korea.

Hennie and Heleen with their two sons live in Durbanville, Cape Town. He works and teaches from his studio at home.
